Tim Sherwood’s days as the Tottenham manager appeared to be numbered after midfielder Sandro claimed that the interim manager will be replaced at the end of the season. Sherwood was appointed as the replacement for Andre Villas-Boas after the Portuguese was sacked midway through the season. Even though initial results appeared extremely promising for Sherwood, things soon started turning sour after a couple of defeats. The club, who were expected to qualify for the Champions League next season, are now set to finish outside the top six.

Tottenham are unlikely to offer the same £ 24 million for the Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho in the January transfer window according to a close source at Tottenham. The club became extremely close to securing the services of the FC Porto midfielder after agreeing a £ 22 million fee with the Portuguese club.
