Tottenham Hotspur have sealed fourth spot on the Premier League table away from rivals Arsenal on goal difference for at least one week after coming from behind to thrash Newcastle United 5-1 at home on Sunday. Spurs had begun the weekend in fifth spot and three points away from the Gunners, but they were able to draw level with their rivals on the same points plus the advantage of having a better goal difference with the comeback victory over the Magpies to take fourth spot at the expense of Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of several teams in the hunt for a Champions League spot at the end of the season. Only a place in the top four of the Premier League will guarantee Champions League football ahead of next season. Apart from Tottenham Hotspur, clubs such as the London trio of Chelsea, West Ham United and Arsenal are also in the hunt in addition to Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs had the opportunity to boost their top-four credentials when they played hosts to Southampton in a Matchday 24 clash at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night, but they were unable to make an assault on a place in the top four thanks to the 3-2 home defeat to the Saints despite taking the lead on two occasions.

North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing one of their former midfielders ahead of the winter transfer window. This is according to the report from the stables of Spanish media outlet Superdeporte. It was revealed that Spurs are keen on signing Croatian football idol Luka Madrid whom they sold to Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid almost a decade ago.

Real Madrid paid £30m to secure the signing of Modric from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2012. Spurs want to re-sign him, but they are not the only Premier League team interested in the player.

Tottenham Hotspur have maintained their perfect start to the new Premier League campaign under manager NunoEspirito Santo after the 1-0 win over hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs have a new manager in NunoEspirito Santo who moved to the club after his time at Wolves ended at the end of last season. Santo was the Wolves manager for several seasons and he wasthe man who masterminded the midlands club's return to the top flight three years ago.

Tottenham Hotspur are in danger of not playing European football in the new season following the defeat at the hands of Aston Villa on Wednesday. The Villa game was their penultimate league match this season.

Spurs needed to win the game against Villa at home to boost their quest to secure a place in the Europa League but their midlands opponentsplayed the role of spoilers despite the fact that they had nothing significant to play for again this season. Villa are at the top of the bottom half on the Premier League standings and they will neither qualify for European nor suffer demotion to the English Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has disclosed that winning team trophies is better than individual accolades for him at the moment after he won an award at the London Football Awards on Tuesday.

Kane spoke with the media practitioners after being named the player of the year at the awards. At the same award ceremony, Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka was named as the young player of the year.
Tottenham Hotspur have not won any major title in each of the last 13 years. Their last trophy was the 2008 League Cup. Kane and Spurs missed out on the chance to end the trophy drought in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

North London giants Tottenham Hotspur were able to boost their Champions League hopes with the impressive away win over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday night. Ahead of the Villa game, pressure was mounting on Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho after his team were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League in a disappointing manner. Spurs had won the first leg 2-0 at home to Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia in their Europa League last 16 tie before the Croatians produced a monumental performance to ensure they seal a quarterfinal spot ahead of Tottenham Hotspur via a 3-2 win. Dinamo Zagreb beat Spurs 3-0 at the end of extra time to ensure that the comeback was complete in the tie. Mislav Orsic was the main man for Dinamo Zagreb against Tottenham Hotspur as he netted all the three goals in that second leg. Orsic scored twice in regulation time before netting the crucial third goal in extra time.
