Tim Cahill is one of the more renowned and influential players from the Australian nation.

The 36 year old player has made over 80 appearances for his national team and even at his elevated age, he still continues making consistent performances not only for his national side but also for his club Hangzhou Greentown

The veteran player kicked off his international career back in 2004 at the age of 24 and ever since then, Tim Cahill has been a regular starter for Australia.

Australia is working hard to progress past the group stages of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers as they are currently positioned at the top of Group B after having collected a total of 18 points from their opening 7 matches.

Tim Cahill is excited about playing with Australia as the veteran player stated that he feels proud and happy about how his national teammates are performing as Cahill said: “That’s what we’re here to do. We’re flying the flag for our country, we’re playing good football and we’re playing with good intent. The boss has a great vision for the Socceroos and more importantly he’s bringing in some great depth.I couldn’t be happier at the moment for how football is going now with the Socceroos.”

At his 36 years of age, Tim Cahill has not really showed any signs of slowing down or stopping his playing career as he recently joined the Chinese Super League club Hangzhou Greentown. After he left his former club Shanghai Shenhua, it was rumored that Cahill was going to join a club in the Australian League but after everything was said and done, the club that Cahill opted to join was Hangzhou Greentown as he continues extending his playing career.

Despite this recent change of clubs from Tim Cahill, the veteran player appears to be more excited about what lies ahead with Australia as the 2018 World Cup qualifiers is what he wants to focus on.
