Tottenham Hotspur have maintained their perfect start to the new Premier League campaign under manager NunoEspirito Santo after the 1-0 win over hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs have a new manager in NunoEspirito Santo who moved to the club after his time at Wolves ended at the end of last season. Santo was the Wolves manager for several seasons and he wasthe man who masterminded the midlands club's return to the top flight three years ago.

Tottenham Hotspur started the season on a positive note after the slim victory over Premier League champions Manchester City and the win was more remarkable as it was achieved without star player Harry Kane who has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium. Kane is the subject of serious interest from Manchester City. Santo was named the new Tottenham Hotspur manager this summer and he began his managerial reign with a good result against the Citizens with South Korean international Son Heung-Min getting the only goal of the season. His goal came in the second half off the assist from Dutchman Steven Bergwijn.

Manchester City were favourites for the game against Spurs but they were not able to live up to that tag.Tottenham Hotspur made it two wins from two games in the league this season with the slender away victory over Wolves.

Tottenham Hotspur scored the only goal of the game in the first half through England international Dele Alli from the penalty spot. Alliwas successful from the spot after he was brought down by Jose Sa on his home debut. Wolves signed Sa from Greek champions Olympiakos as a replacement for Rui Patricio who left the club to join AS Roma in the Italian Serie A.

Spurs are one of four teams with an unblemished league record in the English top flight this season alongside Liverpool, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Chelsea.
